My family and I have recently stayed at the pear tree, Hildersham. John and Gillian are people who really care about you, nothing is too much trouble. Their attention to detail is lovely. We ate in the pub as part of the bed and breakfast deal, and chose to eat there for our evening meals. The food is well cooked traditional fayre. the breakfasts are gorgeous, maybe too gorgeous!!!! a newspaper is put out for you, fresh fruit, cereals, juices, then toat and croissants, high quality cafeteire coffee and tea, then the full english, you are well set up for the day.the meals we ate in the evening was as nice, once again the food is traditional and well cooked. the menu is, Steaks, Home made pies, fish and chips etc, and well priced. as far as i see ,you will not go far wrong with this cosy village pub
