Northamptonshire Reports

Tiffield, Northamptonshire

Review of Tiffield by Kev Corcoran on January 1st, 2010
A quiet, peaceful village just off the A43 and four miles from junction 15a of the M1 motorway, Tiffield lies six miles from Northampton and four miles from Silverstone in beautiful rural South Northamptonshire. Also reached easily and directly via the A43 is junction ten of the M40. The historic former Roman town of Towcester, with its supermarkets, restaurants and bars is just one and a half miles away. The village has its church, its school and its pub, The George, a free house with its delightful low beamed bar, a truly outstanding array of fine ales and an excellent reputation for good home cooked food. This small, quiet and friendly village also has its own privately owned vineyard, and a farm outlet for high quality meats direct to customer. Visitors to Silverstone Circuit are welcome at Jill's Country B&B, where three double rooms are available, and Tiffield's Pocket Park, maintained by local volunteers, provides for very pleasant walks at any time of the year. Whether visiting, stopping over, or just looking for a welcome break from a journey, you will always be sure of a warm welcome in this lovely village.

Review of Tiffield by Jane on April 5th, 2007
Tiffield is a small welcoming, friendly village just off the A43 between Towcester and Northampton. One village school, a church and just the one public house where all are ensured of a warm, helpful welcome. Lovely garden, plenty of parking and currently undergoing some refurbishment. Very social village, Christmas Dinner Dance, Children's Halloween party, Easter Hunt at the Pub, bi-monthly quizzes, gardening club, traditional pub games, a social league, Boules and Northamptonshire Skittles. 05/04/2007
