Llanbedr, North Wales

Review of Llanbedr by caron skilling on August 22nd, 2010
we have been staying at shell island for many years, on and of. Wejust love the area and dont live that far away, but the more we go there the dissapointed we get. The owners are not interested in you at all, I think it is just a means to an end for them. I have never seen showers so dirty in all my born days, the white shower curtain was actually orange and mould colour, hair in the plug hole, mud and water all over the floor and the smell was something else! There are broken glass bottles in the beautiful sand dunes. Cigarette buts every where by the seating area, the very large rubbish bins are not concealed what so ever!Oh and this time we went we didnt have water at certain times of the day! never before has that happened. And as for bank holidays, dont even go there!once you have cued for about 6-8 hours to get on the chances are some one will put their tent as close as possible to yours so much for 20 meters!!!And biggest moan of all BEWARE there are theives operating in the area so watch your things carefully.Other than that its not too bad! OH they dont empty the bins enough either.
