Cornwall Reports

Goonhavern, Cornwall

Review of Goonhavern by gill on June 5th, 2007
5.6.07 Last week was the first time my family and I had ever been to Goon Havern. We had booked an holiday at the local haven campsite. Unforunatley it was too windy for us to erect our tent, and without going into too much detail, we did not get any help or info, from the receptionist on the site as to where else we could stay. All she would tell us was that there was not any room there in a static caravan! We were all very upset as we did not want to return home, but we were worried that we would get the same sort of responce from anyone else we asked for help and info from. Anyway, we decided to try once more and went to a camp site where the owner could not have been more friendly and helpful, he gave us a list of people who might be able to help us, and eventually we settled into a cottage, where the owners were exceptionally nice and welcoming. All in all we then found Cornwall and Goonhavern to be very friendly , and we ended up feeling at home there. This holiday had the potential of being a distater, but turned into one of the best holidays we have ever had. Thank you to the true residents of Goonhavern for showing us such a warm and friendly welcome.
