North Wales Reports

Beddgelert, North Wales

Review of Beddgelert by ray tarling on January 28th, 2010
what a little gem of a village, must be one of the best in snowdonia, hiking, hill walking, mountains wow its great and lots of nice places to stay..

Review of Beddgelert by Hilary Gunn on August 5th, 2009
we have just returned from a week in Beddgelert and despite the weather we have nothing but praise for the place itself, however the accommodation we stayed in was disappointing to say the least. Bryn y felin cottage was booked through Stay in wales and looked charming in the pictures and in the description. The reality was very different. It was small, dark and dirty. It was advertised as being for 6 people but there was only seating for 5 in the lounge and the carpet was too dirty to sit on, one of us had to sit on a hard kitchen chair every night. The "large" table which "will comfortably seat six" did, if 3 of you sat with bent backs. The bath mats were dirty, there was a big greasy patch on the wall above one of the beds and every room had dusty skirting boards and cobwebs. An experience not to be repeated.

Rock and roll doesn't necessarily mean a band. It doesn't mean a singer, and it doesn't mean a lyric, really. It's that question of trying to be immortal - Malcolm McLaren
