The Baldocks story began a long time ago. Arthur W Baldock opened his butcher shop in Newport over one hundred years ago, and taught his son all he knew. Frederick Baldock established himself in the Market hall in the very spot where Baldocks stands today. The city may have changed a bit over the years, but one thing has been a constant for the people of Newport - our quality foods and outstanding value.

You won't find the Baldock family in our deli these days, but the reputation lives on in our commitment to knowlegable service, friendly staff and most of all our fantastic food and drink. Not only will you find a vast array of meats, cheese, pies, olives and pâté - you will also discover a treasure trove of other interesting treats:
Fresh breads, pastry, butter and farm eggs
Fine jams and preserves
Exciting sauces, salad dressings and marinades
Italian pasta
Fine wines and quality slurping wines
Specialist beers, continental lagers and local ales
Malt whisky, cognac and liquers

Our wines are selected by us, so we can explain our tasting notes and offer dining suggestions for the perfect match.

So if you're tired of wandering the supermarket aisles, being led astray by "bargain" wines and tasteless foods, please pop in to see us - info@baldocks-deli.co.uk
