In more recent years its inhabitants were of a more law abiding kind and now it is home only to seabirds and sheep.Lying in Dumfries & Galloway in Scotland's South West, Balcary Mews is a beautiful home on the sea front. We are located off the A711 Dumfries to Kirkcudbright road, 2 miles out of Auchencairn at the end of the shore road. On arrival turn left through the archway and into Balcary Mews courtyard. Balcary Mews has a large, welcoming reception area with seating. Here you will find an abundance of local tourist information, maps, literature, including a book about our smuggling connections! Ample space for walking boots and coats. The country style breakfast room has individual tables through to the Garden room. Pam serves a delicious Scottish cooked breakfast!
