This peaceful Lake District hotel is 2-minute stroll from Lake Windermere and the village of Bowness. The Burn How is different to most hotels: all bedrooms are located within the private grounds, away from the main building. Enjoy the atmosphere of the lounge and bar, or the patio on a summer evening. You can take picturesque walks from the hotel, or a cruise on Lake Windermere. If you take the Post Knott walk and find the hotel’s bench, bring back the inscription for a free drink.
The layout of The Burn How is refreshingly different to most other hotels. In the main house you will find the reception area, The Burn How Restaurant and the residents’ lounge and bar, whereas all of the hotel’s bedrooms are located outside the main building within our private grounds.
