From the inspired creator of Paris and Leodis, Plush Restaurant is a hot destination in central Leeds. Style and passion seem to be Martin Spalding's watchwords and you can see them just everywhere at here. The two bars are striking and comfortable and the downstairs restaurant, with its tropical fish tank, mahogany tables, high-backed leather chairs, and intimate lighting, attracts a fashionable crowd. The international dishes from the kitchen of Andrew Smith are earning Plush Restaurant loads of attention – all of it good. Starters include mussels cooked in Guinness, smoked bacon and cream sauce, and a main course of duck breast with rocked mash, parsnip crisps, cassis and red wine jus hits the spot. Wine list is very international, listed by varietals, with scads of champagnes and ten by the glass. The Early Bird menu is seriously good value.
