Restaurants in City
No not James Bond, although he wouldn't look out of place here and he wouldn't fault the martinis, either. Bonds is hard by the Bank of England, so we're talking about investment bonds, although after an evening in the bar and restaurant here with mates, you'll be thinking of the bonds of friendship too. The style is modern, chic and sophisticated, with an equally International menu. Tucked into Threadneedles Hotel, the transformed banking hall space is really quite something, and the bar is likely to be heaving. Peopled with business folk, and you'd expect. The menu includes concoctions like starter of Smoked haddock tortellini with buttered leeks and pancetta, main of Baked Dover sole with caper and tarragon hollandaise, and a series of nursery puds, if you have room. Come and relax - you've earned it.
