The Kings Arms lies in the peaceful and quaint village of Wing. The Inn is ideally situated as a base for visiting the surrounding market towns of Oakham, Uppingham and Stamford. Rutland water, with its extensive array of outdoor activities,is only two miles away and offers a variety of outdoor pursuits including walking, cycling, sailing, windsurfing, bird watching, fishing and golf. Other local attractions include Burghley House, Barnsdale Gardens, Rockingham Speedway and the historic Wing Maze. The Inn dates back to 1649 and offers all the charm and character of a Traditional Country Inn. Our ensuite rooms are clean, spacious and fully equipped. The Goss family are proud to offer quality ales, an extensive wine list, fine food and a high standard of service at all times. Rutland is a hidden gem of a county and is often referred to as "The Little Cotswolds" with its quaint villages, similar brickwork and Collyweston Stone Slate. You could spend a week just discovering its charms. We also offer a large off-road free car park suitable for the parking of small boat trailers, horseboxes and motorised caravans. Our restaurant may be booked for corporate lunches, dinner parties and small wedding receptions. Please note: The Bar & Restaurant are closed from Sunday Lunch to Tuesday Evenings during the winter months (Oct - Mar) and from Sunday Evenings to after Monday Lunch during the rest of the year. Our B&B Service is available all year 24/7 except Christmas Day and Boxing Day when a Room Only service is in force.
