The hotel was bought by new owners Colin & Zoe Clark at the start of the recession in December 2008 and are gradually changing the feel of the hotel to make it more welcoming and friendly. The previously closed public bar is now open and during winter the real log fire is lit making it cosier and more attractive to the locals creating a homely feel. The restaurant has had its menus changed and offers good sized portions at reasonable prices. The hotel has 10 bedrooms, 4 of which are in a separate cottage whose en-suites comprise of baths that are due to be modernised during the summer of 2009. One of the rooms is offered as a family room with a double and single bed. One of the rooms has had a King Sized bed installed since Colin and Zoe bought the hotel.
