4* rated. A lovely Grade II detached cottage, adjacent to the farmhouse, with its own private garden area, BBQ and seating. The Cheese House has just undergone a complete renovation and has been decorated in a stylish decor with comfort in mind. On the ground floor is a shower room, kitchen/diner which provides loads of work space and even has a log burner. On this level is also a bright double bedroom. Upstairs in the beautiful beamed lounge which has an open ceiling to the eaves [reduced ceiling height in places], and enjoys far reaching rural views. The spacious bedroom has the same stunning views and can be either a super king size bedroom or arranged as a twin bedroom, just let us know at the time of booking.

Included in the price: quality bed linens, plush towels [although guests are requested to bring their own beach towels], tea towels. The Cheese House is centrally heated during winter months.

A small welcome box is provided to keep you going until you get to the shops, this includes: organic milk, butter, fresh local bread, free range eggs, tea and coffee. The Cheese House is within easy reach of the beautiful Jurassic coastline. Swanage, with a beautiful sandy beach, is only 3.5 miles and Corfe Castle 2 miles, which makes it an ideal location to explore the Isle of Purbeck. Harman's Cross railway station is approximately a 10 minute walk where you can take a nostalgic steam train ride into Swanage or Corfe Castle.

We welcome cyclists and walkers and we are only a few hundred metres down the lane from the Purbeck Way Walk which takes you across the Nine Barrow Downs. If you prefer cycling then we are located within easy reach of the Purbeck cycle routes. Harmans Cross station is approximately 1/2 mile away and from there you can catch the steam train to Corfe Castle and Swanage. The area is a World Heritage Site.
