Visitors can also stroll to the National Maritime Museum, Pendennis Castle, the leisure centre and a bowling alley or take a boat trip from the Prince of Wales Pier along the River Fal to the cathedral city of Truro (12 miles by road), St Mawes and the Helford river. Gardens at Trelissick and Glendurgan (N.T.) are nearby – the Eden Project is a little further afield. Golf, tennis and sea fishing locally. Pub ½ mile, shop ¼ mile.
