More Information

With some of the best views on the North Yorkshire Coast, Scalby Lodge Farmhouse is set on a stunning clifftop location, with beautiful sea views, whilst overlooking the historic and elegant seaside town of Scarborough. Enjoy the romantic illuminated skyline view of the Castle and town at night. We are proud to be part of the Duchy of Lancaster's Estate, which is privately owned by her Majesty the Queen, who visited the farm with Prince Phillip in 1975. Scalby Lodge Farmhouse overlooks Scalby Lodge Pond, a mecca for birdwatching, with recent sitings including the Hoopoe, Bar-tailed Godwit, Long-tailed Duck and Barred Warbler. The Farm is currently part of a Higher Level Sterwardhip scheme which is aimed at encouraging the birds and wildlife, and particularly with increasing the Tree Sparrow population which has been depleted. We are only yards from the Cleveland Way - a remarkable clifftop walk that links the towns of Scarborough, Filey and Whitby, as featured on the BBC 2 programme Coast, and have 3 family friendly pub / restaurants within easy walking distance. The Farmhouse is only a fifteen minute walk from Scarborough's North Bay Beach and Town, whilst also being close to the North Yorkshire Moors, Dalby Forest and Forge Valley. We provide hampers for our guests for that romantic touch or just for the walk, prices start from £6 per person. One day's notice is required. We also offer a pick up service in our Ford Galaxy 57 seven seater free of charge from the station or taking you out for the evening, please don't hesitate to ask as it is just part of the service. Our guests are more than welcome to purchase wines for dining out in our glorious garden, which we will be more than happy to chill at no extra cost.Your stay is of great importance to us and we will always try to accommodate any individual need.
