The Butchers Arms is a small pub in the heart of the Welsh Countryside which is situated in a small village 6 miles from Carmarthen and a 30 minute drive from Swansea.

Well into a third decade at the Butchers, David and Mavis James still take pride in their work. David, a self taught butcher and accomplished chef runs his kitchen with unbridled devotion. here is never a lack of choice, with different menus for lunch time, mid week and weekends. They are all subject to seasonal change and price. If you like big meals, then this is the place for you, known for its large portions for a very fair price. The Butchers caters for the healthy appetite. Our mouth-watering salads are something to die for. For the Mediterranean touch, try our Sizzling Platter of Garlic Prawns. You are also dared to try and finish the hugely popular ŒMixed Grill‚. One things for sure you won‚t be hungry after that! Try, if you can, to leave some space for a delicious sweet. We are situated two miles from the new Botanic Garden, and within easy reach of the Gower Peninsula and the Pembrokeshire Coastline, with its famous coastal paths, nature reserves and Oakwood Theme Park.

An excellent spot for travellers, with two highly rated bed and breakfasts within walking distance and many more within a two to three mile radius. A lovely place to stop for a lunchtime drink and snack, or an evening meal. Finding the Butchers Arms could not be easier, on the B4310, half a mile from the London to Fishguard A48 Dual Carriageway. 9miles West of the M4, junction 49.

Due to its popularity, it is highly recommended that during weekends you book your evening meals, and book ahead for small parties.
