Welcome to The Filly Inn, a charming 16th Century inn situated in the small hamlet of Setley in the heart of the beautiful New Forest. It's an ideal place for immediate walks yet not far from the Coastal and Market town of Lymington or the village of Brockenhurst. It takes about half an hour by car to Southampton or Bournemouth and isn't far from other tourist towns such as Winchester or Salisbury. The Filly is a dog friendly pub! The Filly Inn is one of the most picturesque, cosy, traditional country inns you are ever likely to visit. It is renowned throughout the forest and beyond for its delicious freshly prepared home cooked food and very friendly atmosphere. The original part of the pub goes back to the 16th century, low ceilings & sturdy oak beams adorned with traps and old gadgets abound. The friendly ghost of a long dead highwayman roams the Inn at night. The Inn boasts a large accessible car parking area, beer garden & has an outstanding restaurant offering an extensive selection of fine wines & ales, as well as a superb menu selection. Portions are a good size so you don’t leave feeling hungry. Our award winning Head Chef, Darren Miller, has put together an outstanding menu combining modern and traditional styles. This and the relaxed yet professional approach of the Filly team make it the perfect place to relax. We have 5 comfortable bedrooms available, the rooms at the front overlook heathland where ponies and cattle roam freely and the back overlooks Royden Wood, with its beautiful walks.
