The 24 bedroom Newtown House Hotel is an 18th century converted farmhouse, located on Hayling Island in Hampshire. An ideal centre for touring, the hotel is situated between the historic Naval City of Portsmouth and the cathedral city of Chichester with it's Festival Theatre. Further to the north is the beautiful South Downs with it's quaint villages and stately homes.The hotel is set in delightful grounds. Original features are still visible including, olde ship's beams, oak panelling, inglenook seating, and stone fireplaces. The hotel also provides one of the finest restaurants in the region – offering a A la carte menu and fine wines. The hotel also provides conference facilities for up to 60 delegates. (this will be 150+ but not till early summer 2008).Hayling Island with its moderate climate, miles of safe clean beaches with a Blue Flag award and calm waters for sailing, has long been a favoured holiday resort. Fascinating harbours to explore, sailing, windsurfing, golf, horse riding are just some of the many activities the Island has to offer.Please Note: We are a No-Smoking property.
