The Yew Tree is a gorgeous rural retreat on the slopes of May Hill; formerly a cider house it retains many of the old features, exposed brick walls, slate flooring and wooden beams, the atmosphere is both relaxed and friendly.

The extensive grounds are home to chickens which provide eggs for the kitchen and many of their herbs, salads, vegetables and fruits are home grown. Daily specials are available to complement the seasonal menus including favourites such as slow roast belly of Gloucester Old Spot Pork with caramelised celeriac and cider sauce and their now famous Rabbit and Bacon Pudding!

Puds are old fashioned and all homemade and a local cheeseboard, including cheeses from Charles Martell of Dymock, is a worthy end to a delicious meal.

The Yew Tree also imports all their own wines, displayed in their wine shop and offering the diner a choice of over 100 wines at just a minimal mark up. Local real ales are available on hand pump and a choice of over 20 local artisan ciders are available by the bottle.
