A warm welcome awaits you at the Alverbank Country House Hotel. The Alverbank House was built in 1842 and now, as it was 150 years ago, the hotel is an ideal retreat to unwind at the end of a busy working day, or to relax on a weekend break. Only a minute from the sea, the Hotel is secluded amongst pine trees and landscaped gardens. We operate a very personal ""home-from-home"" for our guests in an atmosphere of courteous service.

We are a small Victorian Country House Hotel situated conveniently approximately 12 miles from Portsmouth and Southampton. The hotel overlooks the Solent and Isle of Wight which hosts the world famous "" Cowes week"" whilst many of the nautical attractions of the British Navy including H.M.S Victory, the Mary Rose and the Submarine Museum are ten minutes away. Local sport and leisure facilities include sailing and watersports, golf, tennis, swimming, ice skating and indoor sports.

The atmosphere at the Hotel is both friendly & informal and guests are free to come and go as they please. Whether here on holiday or business, on an activity break or for a quiet weekend, we will do all we can to help you make the most of your time with us. Under the direction of our innovative Head Chef, you will enjoy excellent food and fine wine when you dine with us. The Hotel has a charming and informal atmosphere, and it is our philosophy is to cater for all, using only the freshest ingredients, locally produced wherever possible. We endeavour to create great food and provide fantastic service. Our dining experience is an intimate one; never rushed and always pleasurable.
