Abbey Lodge Guest House is a large Victorian town house situated in the heart of Southsea. We have a good selection of rooms, both ensuite and with shared bathrooms. We offer our rooms on a fully flexible basis either as room only or with breakfast included. Single occupancy of all our double rooms is available, as is a discount for a non refundable booking. We are just a ten minute stroll from the beach and common, which makes us ideally situated for the Americas Cup, Victorious Festival and the Great South Run. We are also within easy reach of the Historic Dockyard, Heritage Museums, Portsmouth University campus, Gunwarf Quays shopping and entertainment complex, Spinnaker Tower, Kings Theatre and the Wedgewood rooms. Ferries to France, Spain and the Isle of Wight are easy to reach, as is the new cruise terminal. Accommodation is provided in eight comfortably furnished rooms, where a cosy and welcoming atmosphere is combined with individual attention. We offer a generous, home cooked and award winning traditional English breakfast,t which is cooked to order for you: Vegetarian diets are catered for with prior notice. Our sausages are bought from our local Butcher and our bacon is selected. Fresh mushrooms and tomatoes are bought daily. We have free wireless Internet access throughout. . Cyclists are welcome and we are happy to securely store bikes overnight for a small charge and to store your baggage for a minimal fee, There is room to park a motorcycle (or two at a squeeze) on our frontage. We are lucky to be in one of the few areas in Portsmouth without a residents' parking scheme, so local, old fashioned on-street parking is plentiful and free. We do not accept groups and are adult only for your peace and comfort. Check in is from 16:00hrs to 21:00hrs latest and our award winning, cooked to order breakfast is served between 08:00hrs and 09:00hrs.
