The Springs - This challenging 6,470 yard course is situated in a spot officially designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. The 133 acres of parkland is bordered by the River Thames and includes three lakes and testing wetland areas. Designed by former Ryder Cup captain Brian Huggett, it is a sublime mix of traditional and new styles with features like double greens and a sleepered bunker as well as railway sleepered lake edges that you would find on a classic Florida wetland course. Amongst a number of memorable holes, two stand out: the short 8th, a par 3 over water of some 184 yards and the finishing hole, a strong risk/reward par 4 with a split fairway either side of a listed copse. 18 holes. The beautiful clubhouse blends perfectly with the existing Tudor styling of the hotel and includes a well stocked Pro shop where buggy and trolley hire is available. The resident PGA Professional is also on hand for tuition and there is a practice ground, practice nets and a putting/chipping green.
