Moor View House is a small, licensed Victorian Country House on the edge of the lower slopes of western Dartmoor. David and Wendy Sharples have, over 16 years, lovingly restored this charming property and whilst retaining its friendly and warm charm provided ensuite accommodation that has been recognised by the AA with their acknowledgement of 5 Star Guest House and Dining Awards for good English food.
Log fires offer a cheery glow on cooler days, whilst when the sun shines it is a joy to take tea in the 2 acre moorland garden. The area is an ideal place to not only enjoy the pretty village of Lydford with its castle and gorge, but as a base for touring the many National Trust properties, south/north coast and, of course, The Eden Project.
Most of all Moor View is a comfortable home filled with family memorabilia, you are welcome to share it and rest awhile.
