The proprietor of this hotel worked in the kitchen of one of the finest restaurants in Cardiff in the 1960s as a commis chef. In those days the kitchen worked under a strong regime doing everything from scratch - everything from Roast Beef to Souffles. The proprietor has been in business for 30 years plus and he and his wife run this family orientated hotel with their aim to please all the customers. The menu has a wide range of fish including Dover Sole, Lemon Sole, Sea Bass, Halibut, Scallops, Lobster, Bream, Mussels, Sardines, Plaice, Salmon and many more. There is also a classic A La Carte menu including French and Italian cuisine. A large selection of Homemade Sweets are available from the trolley.

Set upon the banks of the River Wye, with views spanning across the water to picturesque Ross on Wye, this lovely sixteenth century country house awaits to warmly welcome you.
The Castle Lodge caters for the business traveller, and  those just wishing to get away from it all and enjoy the beautiful Wye Valley.
The restaurant specializes in Fresh Fish.
