The George Hotel is situated in a beautiful riverside location in rural Northumberland, and is only five miles from the historic market town of Hexham. The North Tyne River is readily accessible for game fishing, with permits available at the hotel, and the World Heritage Site of Hadrian's Wall and many excellent museums are all within a five minute walk.

The hotel dates back to the 1700s, providing a traditional atmosphere in which to relax and unwind.
