Lea House is an outstanding small guest house in the village of Lea. It is surrounded by countryside, just 4 miles from the picturesque riverside town of Ross-on-Wye and adjacent to the Royal Forest of Dean. It is run by Caroline Anderson who founded Gunn Mill House which was picked as one of Which?'s top 20 B&Bs in the country.
Caroline's love of good food makes a stay at Lea House a culinary delight. Her breakfasts are much talked about; from the choice of flavours of butcher's made sausages to smoked fish to vegetarian options, local honeys, fresh fruit and yoghurts. Naturally the breads are all home-made as are the jams and marmalade, and the orange juice is fresh squeezed daily. Lea House holds an AA Egg Cup Award for highest quality breakfasts. Dinner can also be ordered by prior arrangement, or there are recommendations for the local good eateries, with sample menus available.
The spacious bedrooms have king size or twin beds and full en suite or private bathrooms. Lea House is warm and cosy and a thoughtful selection of toiletries, hairdryer, fluffy bath towels and even hot water bottles are all provided. Everything is done to make your stay both comfortable and relaxing. Guests with dogs are welcome.
