Pallant House Gallery will be the Gallery of Modern Art in the South. A Queen Anne townhouse and a modern new building with an art reference library, prints room, 9 new galleries, full disabled access and one of the most important collections of 20th Century British Art in the country.

There are now works in the collection by, amongst others: Frank Auerbach, Peter Blake, David Bomberg, Patrick Caulfield, Lucian Freud, Richard Hamilton, Barbara Hepworth, Ivon Hitchens, Fernand Leger, Henry Moore, Paul Nash, Ben Nicholson, Pablo Picasso, John Piper, Ceri Richards, Bridget Riley, Gino Severini, Walter Sickert and Graham Sutherland.
