More Information

"Hard to beat this retreat" , that's what the Scotsman said about this little gem hidden in the Scottish Borders. Undisturbed peace in beautiful surroundings at ordinary prices. 40 mins from Edinburgh. Our home was built in 1865 and has been extensively refurbished to exceptionally high standards but still retains many of the original features creating a distinctive yet homely small hotel.

It has 8 very comfortable and individually designed bedrooms, 7 of which are en-suite while the other has a private bathroom just a few steps away, all equipped with those little extras to make you feel as at home as possible. The lounge has a cosy log fire and the stylish dining room, with its large bay windows, overlook the mature and uniquely charming gardens. In the evening why not enjoy some excellent food and great wines, beers or spirits in ourcandlelit restaurant. We take great care to source our ingredients from local suppliers wherever possible. After dinner you could enjoy one of our malt whiskies from our whisky menu. .

Free WiFi is available although not in all rooms. Should you require it, please ask as we provide a desk area where you can use your computer.40 minutes from Edinburgh by car. 20 minutes from Galashiels by car. 6 minutes from Peebles by car. 25 minutes from Selkirk by car. 4 minutes from Glentress by car
