This is the place to come and learn all about Bede and the Anglo-Saxon way of life in Northumbria. To soak up the atmosphere visit the demonstration farm and meet the animals including wild boar pigs, goats and geese. You can also explore the replica buildings made of wattle and daub and a herb garden – built with original materials and methods using skills that would have been present around 700AD. The museum explores the life of Bede and includes exhibitions and activities.
