The Lanes Medical Practice is a private practice and travel clinic specialising in tropical and occupational medicine. It is owned and run by Dr Nicholas Cheese. We stock the full range of vaccines and antimalarials relevant to worldwide travel.
The Practice can carry out resting ECGs, vision and hearing screening and lung function testing, with daily courier service for blood pathology. We have a close working relationship with NHS hospitals and the nearby Spire Thames Valley and Princess Margaret Hospitals, and have an extensive network for specialist referral as well as rapid access to specialist imaging services (eg X-ray).
Corporate health and tropical screening is undertaken on behalf of a number of local national and international companies active in all regions of the world. This can be done at the Practice or at your premises.
Dr Cheese qualified from the Middlesex Hospital in 1981 and obtained his JCPT GP Certificate in 1986. He practised as a principal and partner in general practice in west London for 11 years before leaving the NHS. He has been running the Lanes Medical Practice since 1997 and is the principal doctor for national and local companies, including Pinewood and Shepperton Studios.
