This 17th-century country inn has an excellent restaurant, free parking, free Wi-Fi and modern rooms with luxury beds and large, flat-screen TVs. It is close to Reading and Henley-On-Thames. The Crown Inn is in the village of Playhatch, between the Thames and the Chiltern Hills. Reading Rail Station is 3 miles (5 km) away. The Crown is known for its modern British food. There is a traditional country bar, the oak-beamed main restaurant, a restored 18th-century barn and a more modern conservatory. The stylish en suite rooms are in the quiet residents' gardens and have private, covered terraces with views of the gardens. A freshly cooked full English breakfast is available each day.
