The Dering Arms is a seafood restaurant situated with a guest house offering two ensuite rooms and one standard room with a shared bathroom. It is a an old hunting lodge and is now the home of a high quality seafood restaurant serving up the finest seafood dishes in Kent. Awarded the Egon Ronay Seafood Restaurant of the year 3 times since 1997 it is recognised and known locally for its high quality and fresh food and friendly atmosphere. Breakfast is served from 8.30am-9.00am with Full English or Continental Breakfast (or a menu to suit). Advance notice is required for an earlier breakfast. Long-serving owner Jim Buss runs the kitchen personally with every meal prepared to order, using only the finest of fresh produce often supplied locally. Lunch is served from 12.00pm-2.00pm and Dinner 7.00pm-10.00pm. Seasonal seafood is the kitchen's forte and the regular menu is boosted by a daily blackboard. Dering Ale (the house beer) is brewed especially for the pub by Goacher's of Maidstone, and the promotion of real ales from other independent breweries is ongoing. A fine selection of ale and cider from the local area, and some of the best vintage wines from around the world is served.
