The drive takes in the views across Loch Linnhe to the Duror Hills and Castle Stalker and abundant wildlife including eagles, wild goats, otters and red deer. Formerly an estate barn, the building was rennovated to an environmentally aware standard while maintaing the buildings character throughout. Each room has been uniquely designed using estate tweeds and lovely selections of accessories; even the room names are derived from the surrounding glen and local area. There are three double King Size rooms, one twin and one family room all of which have en-suite facilities with either a shower or a bath with shower. Each room has freeview televisions, DVD players, ipod docking, hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Upon arrival there is plenty of free off road/disabled parking and a bicycle store. Activities such as guided hill walks, clay pigeon and target shooting, fly fishing and boat trips can be arranged during your stay. Kingairloch's own restaurant The Boathouse is approximatley a 1.5 miles from The Steadings. Open Thursday - Saturday 11am-9pm and Sunday 11am-3pm and is fully licensed. Menus focus on fresh local seasonal food; fish and shellfish are landed in Mallaig and fantastic venison, fruit, vegetables are available from the estate. At lunchtime there is a selection of platters, venison steaks, burgers, fish and shellfish dishes. Cakes and scones in the afternoon and in the evening there is a wide choice including scallops, langoustines, market fish specials as well as our venison signature dish.
