It has recently been modernised but retains all its distinctive architectural features, and has an old-fashioned style throughout. The proprietors, Maureen and Jimmy Mowat, offer you true Orcadian hospitality on your visit. Maureen and the staff create delicious meals on the premises, using fresh Orkney produce, including seafood, prime Orkney beef, pork and lamb. Soup, sweets and cakes are all home-made. Packed lunches can be made for your fishing trip. A large selection of bar lunches and suppers is served daily in the 'Plout Kirn' Lounge Bar.
