The accommodation was very good and everything was spotlessly clean. No complaints on that score.
On the debit side, food and drink service was abysmal and we always had to be satisfied with 2nd or 3rd choices. Kashmiri Lamb Curry was stated as being available 24 hours. When I asked for it, it wasn't even available for 24 seconds. On one night we sat at a table in the Brasserie and were ignored for 20 minutes until we asked for service. After another 20 minutes I was told my Starter was not available. When we eventually got our meal we had been sitting at our table for 55 minutes. I have never seen so many staff walking around at high speed producing so little in the way of actual service.
Breakfast was good if you were lucky enough to be there when ALL the breakfast items were available on the breakfast bar at one time. Never saw a chef or any member of the kitchen staff check out the breakfast bar or keep it stocked up; it was all down to dining room staff having to go into the kitchen and request more.
Price of a glass of wine: £5 to £7!
We'll not be visiting another Ramada Jarvis any time soon.
