Oh Dear. What a tired hotel the carpets are worn the cutains are faded, it smells musty and there was mould on the bathroom door. the hoover (what hoover) does not reach the edges of the carpets in the rooms.this was evident by a ridge of thick dust the bathroom window was sealed with mastic. the view in rooms 3 and 4 were of a boiler! the fridges in an adjacent room hummed all night. the under blanket stunk of long departed guests. we placed a miniscule bit of paper on the bedroom floor just to see if it would get cleaned up.. it was still there 4 days later. our friends in an upstairs room were kept awake most of the night with an extractor fan from the smelly kebab shop nest door. we were glad to get out. If you have booked this 2 star hotel cancel it and go to any other hotel in shanklin. we ought to have known what it was like when we arrived with the brickwork sprouting plants and the window ledges all rotted. this is an honest unbiased opinion..

First let me say that there is an abundance of hot water, that is the only good thing about this hotel. When we arrived the room had an awful musty smell, the bedroom carpet was dirty and badly stained as was the lino in the bathroom, the bathroom sink overhung the small bath making it difficult to turn on the water, behind the WC itself was filthy, no lock on the bathroom door and when the wind blew the door flew open! One guest cut himself in his room on a loose tile as he got out of the bath. We asked to see the swimming pool and were guided into the pool area, the entrance was via a sliding glass door and the room in darkness we could not find a light switch and suddenly found ourselves on the edge of the pool in total darkness, I hate to think what would have happened if a small child had got in the area alone which it could quite easily do!! The whole place is in need of refurbishment, the staff were friendly but made a mistake with our booking which cut the holiday by a day, the cooked breakfast fine if you like your food swimming in grease, good location though with a kebab house next door and a takeway and chippy opposite. No marks out of 10 I'm afraid
