Wow Wow Wow!!!! This was truly an experience! The food was simply outstanding, the decour beautiful and the service fantastic. I dined there last sunday in a party of 8 including 2 children( who were perhaps not quite ready for the fine dining experience but were catered for seperately with big bowls of delicious looking pasta). The rest of us pretty much sampled the entire menu between us and were stunned by the diversity and imagination of every single dish. My only worry is that next time I try to book a table there will be a 6 month waiting list and by then the incredibly reasonable prices will have tripled!...... Got to go... have to make a reservation!

Moonrakers has recently re-opened in Alfriston (nr.Polegate) and 'wow!' what a different place it is! Not only was my meal the best culinary experience I have had in a long time (cooked by a protégé chef from one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants) but they have clearly spent a lot of time creating the 'right' image / atmosphere ... Big buckets of flowers everywhere and fantastic artwork (including Mockfords). I felt thoroughly spoilt and would say that my experience at Moonrakers beats Mirabelles hands down (which is really saying something). Get yourself there quick before there is a three month waiting list!
