I must write and sing the praises of The Toby Carvery (all over the UK) but especially my favourite at Stafferton Lodge. I spent two or three afternoons a week there, sitting on my own throughout the summer and autumn and having their heart and tummy warming roast dinners. And for £5 my word, what a treat and good value for money. The building is beautiful and recenly refurbished. It is spotlessly clean (and if anyone has any history about what it was before a restaurant I would love to know. Please contact me on amanda_hazell@hotmail.com - The staff in all The Toby's or Toberey as I call them, are all polite, friendly, and helpful. I have introduced so many people to this restaurant I'm sure they think I am on commission. There were 21 of us on Boxing Day and it was so superb, I've already booked for next year. If you are considering having a carvery but are not sure what to expect, trust me, it's beautifully cooked, good old fashioned meals, high on your five a day. I continue to give them ten out of ten for food, service, establishment and the politeness of the staff.Hapy Eating in 2010 Everyone!!
