Smiths Farm Shop is one of my favourite haunts for fresh produce locally. As well as driving up the path with produce growing to your left. I particularly like to see the asparagus tips pushing their heads through the soil! My next favourite is the glorious Crown Prince pumpkins, in autumn. I use them is savoury dishes and as a tasty moist addition to cakes.
Adrian and his family stock lots of local producers' products... Gallone's excellent ice-cream, Saul's of Spratton pies and sausages and Pitsford trout. I'm always drawn to the cheese counter too and always come away with a wedge of my favourite cheddar 'Black Bomber'! It's bitey!
Thursday is the day to link up with the fresh fish van outside the shop, great shellfish, bream, etc at reasonable prices.
