Great site with a good atmosphere with good fishing. Speaking to people on site there didn't seem to be an "extended family and friends" set up; not sure what that was about. Well worth a visit.

I am so sorry you feel this way..... you are more than likely speaking about myself and my husband. We are regular users of this place and have our caravan in storage at the back. My sister in law with her children do use this site as their caravan is at the back.... however I must point out that their 2 children are quite and abide by camp rules. I do not feel that we take over the site! Again I am so sorry that you feel this way as Darryl is a very good site owner and the site is very clean and quiet this is why we use it, apart from the fishing! We have met lots of people in the years since we have been using Darryls and made some good friends and there has as far as we know been no complaints. This site is very good for relaxing, peace, fishing, tranquility. Oh you should have been there when the Ceilidh band was there...... now that was out of this world!!!!! really good!!!

Despite the site's web page which indicates that this is an adults only site, this is I'm afraid not the case. The owner, Daryll, who I have to say is a really nice chap, explains that children of people who keep their caravans in storage at his site are allowed. It's also worth mentioning that of the half dozen or so caravans which are 'in storage' in the adjacent field, half of them are it seems, owned by a group consisting of an extended family & their friends. The problem with this is that when they arrive as they did during our visit, they effectively take over the site leaving non members of their clique feeling a little isolated. Sad really because it's a nice enough spot & really cheap but needless to say we won't be returning.
