Fantastic and unique! The only the way I can describe this place. Fascinating history and a warm welcome. We were very much pampered the whole time we were there and it was truly relaxing.

What a wonderful hotel! A fantastic tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of Canterbury with its large walled garden and dining terrace. The building was full of character with singnificant historical links to Dickens, Chaucer and we found the site is even linked to Roman occupation. The staff were most attentive to the point of carrying our luggage to and from our car. The food was delicious and the chef even let us try his latest 'liquid nitrogen' dessert which is not yet on the official menu. All in all a wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel.I would highly recommend it.
