Without forewarning, turned off the hot water at 8:30 a.m., on the premise (he explained afterwards)that he expected visitors to be at breakfast by 8 and to shower before breakfast. He also claimed not to know that we had prepaid, although he did acknowledge his error when we corrected him. The setting was attractive; the food was good. But the host was execrable.
