I found Mr Roger Puttock of Sherwood Wheatley, to be extremely efficient and friendly in carrying out the conveyancing on my house purchase. The whole process was dealt with quickly and the fee was very reasonable too.

I visited Sherwood Wheatley's last Thursday to make a free Will, as advertised in my local Guardian newspaper, having been assured by their secretary, by phone, that there was no age limit. The paper's advertisement seemed to suggest that one should be over 55 - I am 46.
Duly arriving, having taken the time off work and gone to the not inconsiderable trouble of parking - often a headache in Kingston - I was pleased at Alix's polite and professional service. The appointment took only ten minutes, and she'd write to confirm, she said.
My dismay was considerable, therefore, to receive her letter of today's date, 9th June, asking for £120 + VAT to proceed, as the scheme was only open to those aged 55 and older.
What a waste of time for all concerned, as neither the secretary of Sherwood Wheatley's, nor the solicitor were aware of the rules of the scheme in which they were taking part.
