I was on holiday in Cornwall and unfortunately during the week I needed to see a doctor. I called at the Veor Surgery and a very helpful receptionist got me and appointment within the hour. I was seen pretty much on time and got the necessary treatment and advice. Very good service thank you

On my last visit to the doctor on the 18th September, I had to wait 55 minutes before I saw a doctor - in this case it was Dr Pottinger. I made the appointment because my consultant had got in touch with the surgery with test results etc. I don't visit the doctor all that often, and I quite understand when they are running late, I don't mind this at all, what upset me the most was that when I finally got in to see the doctor, I didn't find out what was in my consultants letter, Dr Pottinger prescribed some tablets which I assume my consultant had recommended, then when I asked about another problem I was having with my eyesight that I thought was related to my health problem, bearing in mind that I had only been in with the doctor for five minutes, she told me that I would have to make another appointment as doctors were only allotted 10 minutes per patient and there wasn't time to discuss it. I couldn't believe it, I was struck dumb, it upset me, but I just took my prescription and left. I went to make another appointment but as there was no one on reception, I waited for 2 minutes but by then I was getting upset and I just left. I don't like to complain, as I am not like that at all, but I have spoken to several people and they all say the same thing, I should complain. I have been with this surgery since I was born, but I am now considering changing to another practice. Joan Tonkins 24/10/08
