What a great and underated place Berkeley Castle is, so important in English HIstory for thelast 900 years, place of the murder of Edward II, most kings and queens have visted here and amazingly still lived in by the family that built it 24 generations ago, the Berkeleys. It is the oldest continuaoulsy inhabited castle in the UK. You can still see the Civil War damage and also on site are Tea Rooms, a Butterfly House and beautiful gardens. Want to get married at a Castle? It has just got a wedding licence.
