Place looked good from the outside and smelt kind of good so decided to go in and give it a shot. Menu looked simple and well priced. I will be honest I am very funny about food and I have to say that I am tolerant to a certain level but this place was one of the only times I didnt like the food so much I couldn't even eat it and had to send it back. On the up side the service was relatively friendly but slow. Wont be eating there again just carluccios instead

I wish I had heard of this place before! Small, intimate, friendly and SUCH delicious food. A real undiscovered gem in Kingston amidst all those nasty corporate chains that bore me. I had the goats cheese starter and then the linguine seafood which was delicious. My girlfriend had their Inferno pizza which you could tell was genuinely fresh. Highly recommend just want to shout about it!

I love this restaurant. I live in kingston and it is hard to find somewhere that feels intimate but not crowded, with delicious food, friendly staff and no feeling of being rushed - and rococo has all of this! Extensive menu that includes things my vegetarin sister, pescatarian mum and frankly picky dad can all eat! reasonably priced, i would pay more than they charge every time. I've been several times, both day and evening, and it's never been less than excellent.

We went as a party of about 24 people yesterday, prebooked the table for 1pm and even preordered all the food for everyone. It took about 20 mins for them to take drinks orders and deliver them to the tables, it was another 40 minutes before the starters were brought out. I didnt have a starter as i looked at the menu before hand and found nothing i fancied. The main couse was brought out only about 20 mins after the starters which is about right. I had the Mahgerita Pizza and my partner had the calzone (again nothing else looked nice on the menu and they were among the cheapest items on there. The food was disgusting, my pizza was rock hard around the crust and just a pile of grease in the middle, there was absolutley no flavour to the pizza, purely disgusting. The calzone was covered in a tomato sauce, making the entire thing one big soggy mess, inside you could see a line of mushrooms, a line of ham and a line of salami whatever it was, it wasnt mixed up like it should be. We left most of the food on the plate. As did a number of other people. I've now been to this place twice and found both time that it was utterly disgusting and tasteless. With most italians I have been to i look at the menu and its hard to decide as there's lots of things i fancy, this place however it was hard to decide as there was absolutley nothing there i found i wanted. I would go as far to say this is the worst restaurant I have ever been to, Ive had microwave frozen pizzas that taste much better than the drivel they served up. I will certainly not be returnig to this place again, waste of time, money and food. We ended up going to buy food from M&S on the way home.

Went there with 3 of my friends and had a blast! The food was delicious! We started with the mussels and bruschetta, followed by their penne arrabiata which is by far the best Ive had in any chain! Their fettucine Rococo also was fab. Our waiter was really friendly and didnt rush us at all. The owner Emily was the perfect hostess who gave us a complimentary limoncello at the end of our meal. Highly recommend and definately going back!

I have to say, Kingston is an area full of these "chain" restaurants that just want to get you in and out as fast as possible. Rococo is no such place. I booked a table of 5 for new years on the back of a few of my friends recommendations that this was the only traditional italian restaurant to go to in kingston, and i was not let down! From stepping in the door, you could tell it was a family run restaurant! Thank god! My party and myself recieved a warm welcome and were gioven choice of any table we wanted!! Rare these days. I had the lamb shank, that literally fell off the bone and jus was out of this world! We were even given a glass of prosecco that was included in the set menu! All in all i have to say this restaurant has great food, great atmosphere and more importantly its not a chain. Little gems like Rococo are few and far between and i can only recommend highly to anyone. PS many thanks to Emily for making us feel so at home. You are a fab lady

We (a party of 4) went there in eager anticipation after reading a review in the 'Surrey' magazine. The evening seemed doomed from the start. There was no warm welcome from Emily. The waiting staff are in the main, not Italian and so you don't get that friendly cheeky banter I always associate with good Italian restaurants and they don't understand when you ask for specific Italian things in Italian. It took almost an hour to take our order. Our first course took an hour to arrive, same with the main course. Several people on other tables complained and one larger party walked out after the staff were at best unsympathetic to their justified complaints and at worse plain flippant: "This isn't Nando's, you know..." No explanation or apology was ever offered for the delay. The food when it did arrive was largely uninspiring - and they boast a 'celebrety chef' - for example: my aspargus with prosciuto was not made with fresh asparagus it was yellowed and insipid and the parma ham was tasteless. The baked pears in marsala were good. Any excuse that it was busy does not hold water. Largely the waiting staff were hanging around or doing things that were not a priority given the amount of disgruntled customers. How long does it take to prepare a plate of pasta? You are only as good as your last dish I'm afraid and this was not good. If this was Italy where they are far less forgiving about their food, the locals would have abandoned it by now.

I have been there several times before with my family and I must say that it is an exceptional Italian restaurant in Kingston. My husband and I both had mussels to start and then had a pasta dish each which reminded us of our visit to Italy! Not only is the food great but the staff are warm and friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Ten out of ten!
