I booked a table for 2 here, for my boyfriend's birthday. I was a little dubious after reading a few poor reviews, however i have since found out that Chloe's has different owners since it re-opened in Sept 2007. I must say, this was a fantastic evening, beautiful food, pleasant, friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. The menu has a good choice and is reasonably priced for the standard of the food, which was very tasty and well presented. The dining room is nicely set out with enough personal space to enjoy your own evening. The piano in the bar is a nice touch, very relaxing and gives a nice ambience. My boyfriend was impressed with my choice!! :) I will be going again very soon.

I took some visiting relatives to see if the beauty of the building reflected its service and quality. This was the first and last time i will be visiting this establishment. We waited 15 minutes to be served while a yound member of staff struggled for 10-15 minutes to open a bottle of champagne and arrange 6 glasses!!while 2 other members of staff chatted in the corridor, i complained to them about the lack of service. We then had our order taken and waited a further 10 minutes for the drinks and another hour wait for a sandwich on a unbusy lunchtime. The food itself was good but the service was appauling. Having spend £38 on 3 sandwiches 2 glasses of wine and 4 waters. I was applauled and embarrassed at the service we received what was supposed to be a treat turned into a frustrating and unenjoyable experience that i will not be repeating.
