Good Points: excellent choice at breakfast very clean Bad Points: not really a bad point, but thought there could have been comfortable chair in the room as there was plenty of room. General review: overall the stay was very good, just felt that there could have been a little more customer interaction by the hotel staff - only seemed to participate in conversations initiated by ourselves, but on these occasions were friendly.

Good Points: Breakfast were excellent. Staff friendly and welcoming. TV good quality. Linen clean. Close to all local amenitites, a lovely area to visit. Bad Points: Hairdryer did not work. But a hand held was given to replace broken wall one. Room was quite small with little clothes storage space. No wardrobe to hang dresses. They had to be hung above electric kettle. General review: Room was adequate. Area was lovely. Very welcoming establishment. Close to all amenities. Would stay again but would have to have a better room and pay more. We were concerned when using the shared toilet at night after returning from the theatre that we might disturb other residents sleeping next to it.

Good Points: Good value, clean, near town centre. Bad Points: parking a little disrupted due to building work next door, but this was soon resolved, obviously not going to be an ongoing problem. General review: Good value accommodation, convenient to town and local facilities. Good breakfast!

Shall we start with the bad decor or the dirty bedding or the minging carpets or even the pair of mens underwear that was found underneath the bed? That aside I could mention the dripping shower, that's if you're lucky enough to get ensuite or the grime pit..er..I mean the swimming pool, but that's only if you can reach it by climbing over the mound of dog-shit in the garden first. So yeah, I won't be booking my boss in to that B&B again!!

Good Points: Food very good. Close to all ameneties Bad Points: Bedroom nice, but dusting could have been done better. clock radio, and bedside table very dusty. TV old. Clock Radio did not work properly. B&B was advertised as having a swimming pool, but this was not in use and it was a nice hot time of year. We would have made more use of facilities if they were better, but we preferred to go out and stay out. General Review: We would have liked to know that pool was not in use. I like to awim and this was a selling point for me. B&B did not feel homely, it was just a place to sleep and eat.

Not impressed. Owner was 'neutral' - not friendly, not unfriendly. Just there really. Room okay but not properly cleaned - dust and dirt evident in places. Bathroom was similar - smelled faintly of urine the whole time and loo brush was disgusting. 'Shower' was in fact one of those telephone handle style devices mounted on top of the taps with no way of attaching it to wall for a proper shower. The first morning we were woken up first by noisy staff at about 6am and then again at 7.30am to the sound of water dripping.. Further inspection revealed water coming from the ceiling! We put the bin under the drip but the noise was like chinese water torture. On telling the owner we were advised that 'it sometimes does that' and 'not to worry' and given a towel to put under the drip. some solution!! We noted that 'sometimes' was every time the people upstairs had a shower! No apology or remedy was offered for our internal water feature. The final straw was breakfast - horrible coffee from a self service machine (how hard is it to make fresh coffee??) and a poor excuse for a fried breakfast - emaciated sausages and a comedy sized piece of fried bread about 1 inch square!! We had had enough by that point and spent part of the first morning of our break finding somewhere else to stay. On informing the owner of the situation there was no apology and no chance of a discount for the inconvenience. In fact he had the cheek to charge us more than had been quoted to us on the phone!! In short, there are plenty of places to stay in stratford-upon-avon - don't choose this one ...
