Mothers Dayt, ate at 12noon, food was gorgeous, although when you choose to have two meats of the four on offer we thought you might get a little more than we did, beef was tough. So many fresh veggies and not a frozen item in sight, thats so important for a great Carvery. One problem only, the dirty conditions of the restaurant, we would have been the first to eat that day, it had not been cleaned, dirty table and so much food on the floor YUCK! It just makes you think about the general cleanliness you can't see.

We are frequent users of the Eleventh Earl, and find the food very good value. The best part of this establishment is Pat who always makes you welcome and for whom nothing is too much trouble, she makes you feel part of the family. It is only a shame that some of the other staff and management do not take a leaf out of her book, if they did you could not ask for more. Well done Pat we will still keep coming because of you and the value for money.

Fantastic food every time we have dined there. Great carvery too. It does get very busy at peak times,it would be good to be able to book when we dine with all the family as some are eldery, and seating is limied in bar at peak times. GO TRY IT...

I take my son there on a regular basis, pat the waitress is very friendly, dashes round but always makes us feel welcome, also very nice chefs, however i agree with past comments about the bar staff dont seem very friendly, speaking as an x barmaid my self, it pays to be polite even at busy times

I visited your establishment Monday the 28th of January 2008. I have been there several times before while visiting my mother. The Eleventh Earl is her very favorite restaurant. My brother Tony was there several times about a month ago on his visit to England, again bringing my mother to her favorite restaurant. My brother Tony drives over there. I am not that brave instead I hire cabs to take my mother out to eat. She is in failing health and very unsteady on her feet. Even though the cab fair cost more than the check at the restaurant [as we live quite far from there] it’s worth it to see my mother enjoy the food you prepare. Your wait staff were very hospitable I remember the middle aged waitress from being there before she does a great job. The guy’s at the Carvery couldn't have been more helpful. When we were leaving and approached the bar, I asked the young man behind the bar if he wouldn't mind calling us a cab. He told me that you didn't have a phone. I was a bit taken back by his negative response. He started to walk down the bar and I followed him and he told me that I should stay back where I was that he would come to me. [I assumed that he was covering his obvious lie and that the phone was in that area.] I told him my cell phone doesn't work in England and that I had to have a cab to take my mother home. He reluctantly brought out his cell phone and did call a cab. I still cannot figure out why he was so rude. I have taken my mother to many places in the Leeds area and that has never been a problem. Maybe he doesn't like Americans [even thought I am from here originally.] I don't believe I gave him any course to behave in such rude manor. As the owner of the Eleventh Earl you have to know that behavior like that leaves a bad taste in ones mouth and is certainly uncalled for. I believe the young man should be informed that a response such as he gave me casts a negative pall on the entire place.

i have just visited the eleventh earl for a sunday lunch, i approached the bar to order and was alarmed at a young waitress arguing with another waitress about her rota, every other word was an "f" word, now i am very open minded about these things but the young lady with her two daughters behind her looked quite disturbed, then i went to the bar to order and a young man said "and what do you want matey" what happened to manners, the meal though i cannot fault it was superb, but i dont think i will be visiting this establishment again.
