An excellent meal, reasonably priced, cooked by the landlord, who has a remarkable resemblance to Simon Greenall, the geordie actor in I'm Alan Partridge.
A bit disappointed with the very limited choice of hand pulled ale (Green King IPA only) but it was OK and a good price.
Landlady would not let me put a bag of boater's rubbish in her skip as it wasn't commercial!
Hey ho.
But then the Jolly Miller at Whitely Bridge just down the road had no objection. But they only serve John Smiths.

i live just round the corner from the jenny wren, it wasnt a nice atmospher when the privious owner had it but it has been taken over now by a couple and the wife is the chef and from what people are saying she is ten times better than him, and for him to say that about you was down right disgusting

Mr husband and I went to the Jenny Wren for a meal on Saturday night. We asked if they were still serving food to which they replied yes. The chef and is partner were going out that evening (the chef said he was just about to get into the shower when we arrived). We overheard the chef speak to a colleague in the kitchen who said "yes i'm ok apart from the two T**Ts that have come in I was just about the get a shower".
The meal was awful as it was rushed.
Based on our experience I would not recommend this pub.
